“You’ve come too late.”

🎥 In this shortened video, I’ve highlighted the key steps of a surgery we perform when there’s still a chance to save sight.

Recently, I operated on a 50-year-old man with diabetes who had lost vision in both eyes from severe bleeding.

With vitrectomy and laser treatment, his sight improved to 9/10.

But many patients don’t make it in time.

Diabetes steals vision silently— and by the time they reach us, it’s often too late.

It is the leading cause of blindness in the working-age population.

And much of it is preventable.

👉 If you are diabetic, check your eyes at least once a year

👉 Don’t wait for symptoms

At Magrabi ICO Cameroon Eye Institute (MICEI), we perform these surgeries regularly.

But my goal is simple:

help you never need one.
